Abstract:
This chapter is intended to help bridge the divide that frequently exists between investments focused on child survival and investments focused on early childhood development. The aim is to illustrate the complementary nature of these two imperatives - survival and development - and to explain how both can be advanced through an integrated strategy driven by a common sense.
