Abstract:
In this volume the research results of five locality studies are presented. It discusses the process of rapid urbanization of farm workers. Why do workers move to town? A multi-sectoral strategy is urgently needed, to re-think the ways in which small town function in relation to their natural hinterlands. By means of this volume the HSRC hopes to make a contribution to this endeavor.
