Abstract:
The Transformative Innovation Policy Consortium (TIPC) is giving substance to a new focus for Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) policy based on ‘Transformative Change’, which aims to contribute to addressing global societal challenges, including climate change, inequality, education, health, employment and pathways to economic growth and development. This is known as Transformative Innovation Policy (TIP). Results derived from the South Africa in-country work
will feed back into the core TIPC programme of which learnings will be shared across TIPC members, and related to the work with EIT Climate-KIC and Vinnova. Simultaneously, core findings of the EIT Climate-KIC and Vinnova project will feed into the policy experiments, creating a continuous cross-project learning and implementation cycle. Findings will be presented at TIPC trainings, conferences and engagement weeks.
