Abstract:
Policy implementation in South Africa is the most challenging, particularly the unresolved question of political administrative interface that is the relationship and interaction between political office-bearers and government officials. This chapter will deal with this dynamic and seek to address the question of whether or not there are answers in the governance paradigm. It will explain the roles of politicians and administrators and what these parties bring to the table. It will also deal with challenges encountered and provide possible answers to the impasse.
