dc.description.abstract This study is novel, timely and focuses on one key step of the HIV treatment cascade: adherence to antiretroviral therapy. If patients can adhere to HIV treatment, the optimal benefits of HIV medication will be realized. Specifically this study sought to assess whether there is a relationship between the employment status of a person living with HIV and their adherence to HIV treatment. It is hoped that the findings of this study will contribute immensely to the and inform the decisions of in-country HIV and AIDS Programme Managers and Policy Makers, Ministries of Labour, Employers' organizations, Workers' organizations, Networks of people living with HIV and world of work stakeholders in their design and implementation of HIV policies and programmes. en
