dc.description.abstract The struggle for justice in South Africa has had many dimensions and tensions, the most pernicious being racial justice. The impact of racism in South Africa has been thoughtfully recounted elsewhere with the insightful perspective of a historical and post-colonial analysis. While there were many abuses within the apartheid regime, one of the most insidious was the marginalisation of people of colour from a rigorous and effective educational system and a corollary exclusion of people of colour from the full scope of employment opportunities. en
