dc.description.abstract Interactions around service delivery challenges in South Africa are often characterised by conflict and high levels of mistrust between communities and city officials. By bringing together city officials and residents from marginalised areas of Cape Town to participate in a research project, HSRC researchers found that poor communication and a lack of understanding of how city processes and services work are important contributing factors to this conflict. en
