Abstract:
In taking stock of the lessons learned in relation to the process of demonstrating technologies to improve basic services in rural settlements, this policy brief offers suggestions for policy development with respect to the future demonstration of service delivery innovations. The brief is informed by research done by the Economic and Performance Development (EPD) unit of the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC) for the Department of Science and Technology (DST) on the work of the Innovation Partnership for Rural Development Programme (IPRDP)
