dc.description.abstract The chapter opens with an analytical discussion of recent data and trends emerging from annual rounds of the Human Sciences Research Council's (HSRC's) South African Social Attitudes Survey (SASAS). It goes on to discuss the recent Constitutional Justice Project (CJP) undertaken jointly by the HSRC and the Nelson Mandela School of Law at the University of Fort Hare (UFH). The chapter then discusses the traditional conceptualisation of 'constitutional dialogue', before making some suggestions as to how a reconceptualised, inclusive and concerted constitutional dialogue could contribute to rapid progress in realising SERs as a means of reducing poverty and inequality in South Africa. en
