dc.description.abstract The prime objective of this chapter is to identify the various factors that influence individuals' satisfaction with family life and family relationships. First, the study will be placed into context with a review of relevant scholarly literature. There are many academic theories that speak to family satisfaction, and it would be beyond the scope of this chapter to provide a review of all of them. Accordingly, we will only offer an assessment of the literature that is most germane to the chapter's topic. The methodological approach of the chapter will then be outlined and the stages of the data analysis delineated. Subsequently, findings from the data analysis will be presented. In closing, we will discuss the outcomes of the analysis with reference to family life and family policy in South Africa. en
