This paper is about "heritage" in the context of historically black universities (HBUs) and especially the University of Fort Hare. While the inverted commas will be omitted henceforth, they should be imagined throughout, because heritage is a debatable concept. It is difficult to define precisely. This article suggests how history in itself moulds and influences the ways in which heritage is used, or not used. |
