Abstract:
Advances in technology have opened our minds to new possibilities and breakthroughs. It is in light of this that the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4iR) and rural development must be linked to livelihoods of how our world will be in the not so distant future. Are our rural areas ready to embrace the 4iR in the same way as the urban areas? In the eve of the COVID-19, a coronavirus pandemic, which has taken the world by storm, there is dramatic shift in the way we live ??? a shift to technological connectivity to interact with each other through social distancing which came with 4iR inventions.
