dc.description.abstract |
This chapter uses secondary data and information to identify opportunities and options for energy cooperation among BRICS countries. This is done with the aim of emphasising areas where BRICS countries can collaborate in energy generation and supply. The chapter seeks to contribute to the existing body of knowledge on energy security and policies in BRICS. In developing the chapter literature was reviewed and a search for trends in patents (for renewable energy) produced by BRICS nations was conducted. The intention was to present directions in the production of knowledge through energy patents and other forms of intellectual property that are produced by BRICS countries. Information presented is not exhaustive but offers a glimpse of what literature says about BRICS and energy development. |
