National survey on R&D and other S&T-related activities in agriculture in South Africa, 2011-11

Abstract

This report contains baseline measurements for the DAFF���s tracking system. It provides a snapshot of agricultural R&D and other science activities during the year spanning 1 April 2010 to 31 March 2011 (2010/11). Since there are no historical or subsequent data available for comparison at this stage, this report is limited in its ability to comment on trends. Such in-depth analysis will require additional studies for subsequent years. The survey also acted as a test-bed for the tracking system���s indicators, providing an indication of how they can be expanded or refined in future.
