dc.description.abstract |
South Africa is one of the worlds leading mining and mineral-processing countries with a long-standing, highly
developed mining sector. In 2019, export earnings contributed more than 60% of total mining sales, supplementing an added value of approximately R226 billion to GDP. Mining, metal processing and other mining-related companies engage in considerable research to develop sophisticated technologies, products, and processes. |
