dc.description.abstract In 2021/22, NPOs employed the biggest percentage of female researchers in comparison to other institutional economic sectors (government, higher education, science councils and business enterprises). In addition, NPOs doubled their contribution to gross domestic expenditure on R&D in the last ten years. en
