As South Africa celebrates 30 years of postapartheid democracy in 2024, individuals with disabilities remain among the most discriminated against and marginalised groups in society. Dane Isaacs and Diana Sanchez Betancourt share insights from the first phase of the HSRC’s Democracy@30 Project, conducted in the township of Langa, Cape Town.
