Abstract:
As the country shifts away from coal towards cleaner energy sources, HSRC data reveals that while an increasing proportion of South Africans are aware of climate change, deep divides remain in understanding, trust and support. The findings offer a rare window into public opinion during a time of growing climate threats and persistent inequality.
