Abstract:
This chapter offers a forward-looking synthesis grounded in the theoretical framing of social reproduction, social exclusion and democratic consolidation outlined in the Introduction. Drawing from community narratives across rural villages, urban settlements, mining towns and former homelands, we reflect on what has been lost or gained and what still must be imagined and built.
