Abstract:
This chapter briefly discuss same-sex behaviour and sexual identities in southern Africa in particular. Research findings from a qualitative study of HIV-positive MSM and examine layering of stigmas experienced by HIV-positive MSM is also discussed. Recommendations for advancing HIV prevention targeted to South African MSM within the framework of a human rights perspective are provided.
