dc.description.abstract This paper will offer a perspective on some of the dominant discourses of homophobia on the continent in relation to law, identity, criminalisation and justice. The presentation will also engage the former issues in understanding its implication for public health interventions, with a specific focus on HIV and AIDS. Based on the latter, some suggestions will be made for ongoing future steps that respond to barriers, limitations and gaps. en
