dc.description.abstract Daniel analyses the dynamics which lead the ANC to victory in the highly contested province of KZN. He argues that the disaffection of voters from the IFP, DA and NNP; and the newly gained support of the Indian electorate, played a significant role. Other dynamics such as the aggressive and strategic campaign of the ANC, as compared to the ossified IFP, contributed to the ANC's decisive win. en
