dc.description.abstract |
An anticipated decline in citizen involvement in the forthcoming election, may be attributed to popular perceptions that the ANC's party bosses favour political participation of the electorate, without wishing to be held accountable to voters. This is evinced by the retention of the current proportional representation system at national and provincial levels, as well as by the floor crossing legislation. |
