Informal sector measurement of openness, collaboration and innovation: the case of Otigba hardware microenterprises cluster in Africa

Abstract

Over 75% of the economic activities in Africa and other developing countries occurs in the informal sector. On the other hand, over 75% of economic activities in developed and transition economies occurring the formal sector. This represents the major division between economies of the North and that of the South.
