Abstract:
The Human Sciences Research Council led a project to review household food security status in South Africa. This project was aimed at ensuring affordable quality food for poor households and considering the short- and long-term contribution of food
security to the government's poverty and unemployment reduction strategies. This paper offers an overview of the main findings.
